The two products are suited for different goals so it may be necessary to change your protein shake in order to ensure you see the benefits of the USN Phedra-cut. A protein shake such as USN Pure Protein GF1 or USN Hardcore Whey GH will improve muscle development and recovery as well as aid weight control, and will therefore make a more effective combo with the Phedra-cut.

The USN Hyperbolic Mass is very high in calories and is specifically formulated to promote mass and muscle gains. It therefore may not be the most suitable option for your current goals. We would rather recommend the use of Hardcore Whey GH which is a lean protein and will promote lean muscle development, muscle synthesis and muscle recovery.

Additionally you can use USN BCAA Amino Lean during training for improved body toning and definition.

We do not recommend premixing these shakes, as the taste and texture of the product will change if left for a few hours – and the protein may denature. For convenience and to save time you can use the USN tornado shakers, which allow you to transport the correct amount of water for your shake, with the powder stored separately in the screw on compartment attached to the bottom of the shaker.

You are a classic hardgainer. Unfortunately, you are not doing yourself any favors with the volume of cardio training that you are currently undertaking as this only serves to increase your metabolic rate and thereby limit your gains. You ultimately have to train, eat and supplement for the physique that you want to achieve.

Please give me an idea of how your current approach looks? I will be able to give you better guidance once I have an understanding of your approach.

Hi Brett,

Thanks for your inquiry about Pure Protein IGF-1. There is an extremely insignificant amount of carbohydrates per serve, of which less than half comes from fructose. To put this into some context, in 1 serve of Pure Protein IGF-1, you will consume 1.2g of sugars, of which some will be fructose. If you consume a medium sized apple, you will consume over 20g of carbohydrates, of which over 10g will be fructose. 

There is no significant empirical evidence that fructose should be avoided in a regular diet. Issues may arise from consuming large quantities of high-fructose syrup as you might from a soft drink, however minor amounts from USN Pure Protein IGF-1 are nothing to be concerned about.

Hello. I broke my back in 2010 and suffered another serious injury in 2012. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in my spine. I am ex-army. Hi T,

As far as the creatine content in Hyperbolic Mass, it is probably sufficient such that a full serve of Creatine Anabolic would be unnecessary. Perhaps a 1/2 serve would be more appropriate. Although there are no risks associated with high intakes of creatine, it is not necessary to consume considerably more than the recommended intake.

Since these products have been developed to fall into dose-related specifications, there is no risk of overdose or  negative side effects.

Should you chose to lower the dose or frequency of supplementation, you should expect a lower effect from the product. You will have to assess and manage the effects that you feel from the lower dose, but if you remain consistent in your approach, you may positively influence weight management.

A small amount of a sugar based drink can increase the uptake of creatine into the muscle cells due to the trigger of insulin into the bloodstream.

If you are concerned about the sugar content in fruit juice then just plain water is ok too.

No the use of Muscle Fuel STS will not stump your growth as only good quality carbohydrates and protein are used, which at any age your body needs.
I would suggest before using supplementation a good nutritional diet and training regime is in place.
With regards to using Muscle Fuel STS I would start off with half a serving a day, build up to 2 half servings a day after 2 weeks.

With regards to directions of use it is supposed to be consumed during the day but if the only other time you have to take it is before bed then that is not a problem as it doesnt contain any stimulants, after consuming Creatine Anabolic I would suggest leaving it at least 45 mins before consuming your post workout meal.

I just bought the 1kg size of the Pure Protein IGF 1 and thought I might let you guys know that the serving size recommended on the pack states 2 scoops (56g) however the scoop that is included is already 56 grams, I assume that the label was advising of a previous smaller scoop size? I\'ve started this morning 08h00 with the Phedra Cut XT - 2 pills with a bit of exercise and breakfast. At 13h00 took another 2 - waited 30 min before drinking my shake. However about 25 after I took the second round of pills I got this numbness in my big toes. Is this just coincedence - I also felt a bit nauzzea, but it subsided after about 10 minutes. As this product is a cornerstone of achieving your beach-body, there is some concern over the ‘burn’ experienced by 10-15% of our consumers taking the supplement.
Since communication with our consumers is so important, we wanted to pen an article to assist our customers in making their experience with the use of this product comfortable. It is important to note that the effect is not dangerous to your health; it is just an uncomfortable experience in individuals who have sensitive stomach linings.
Let’s discuss this in more detail:
You are most likely to feel the burn with your first serving of the day and not the subsequent servings (30 prior before lunch or 30 minutes prior to your mid-afternoon snack). This happens because of the natural occurrence in the encapsulation process (where powder is filled into the hard gelatin capsules) as well as a result of some of the active ingredients used in the product, most notably a capsicum extract (red pepper), used for its thermogenic (heat production) effect.
Since powders always settle on the outside of the capsules in any filling process, it is necessary that the capsules are polished after filling. The efficiency of the polishing process varies according to the product being manufactured, humidity levels and other mechanical factors (warm brushes, brush speed), as well as the volume of capsules being polished.
With your early morning serving, the capsules are swallowed and any powder residue left on the outside of the capsule (after filling) rubs against the esophagus and can leave traces of the red-pepper extract behind. This causes an irritation and a reaction occurs on the sensitive tissue. Of course, this is harmless, but uncomfortable.
Thinks along the lines of chopping chili pepper, and then rubbing your eye an hour later – the burn is still there, no matter how many times you wash your hands.
The solution is pretty simple:
The capsule polishing process can be fine-tuned at the manufacturer, with lower tolerances of powder traces on the capsules. We have revised our stringent QC protocols in this regard with our pharmaceutical manufacturers, but the effects can never be totally removed due to the nature of the product.
An even simpler solution:
Drinking 300-500ml of cold water 10 minutes prior to supplementation, first thing in the morning helps to moisten the dry esophagus. This limits the risk of the excess residue sticking to the soft, sensitive tissue.

This does not include warm-up. If you reach failure before you can complete the sets, lower the weight by 20-30%, and continue until failure. If failure does occur, you can stop training that set as the muscle has reached failure twice, and normal function will not occur until recover has take place.

On day 5, you can do the general circuit. Sat and Sunday can be your rest day….but keep your diet clean! On each day (Monday - Friday), you can do around 45 minutes of cardio after the weight sets. This should be between the treadmill and the stepper (if your gym has both). Keep your heart rates at around 85% of MAX to encourage fat burning.

You need to stick to one major muscle group with one minor group per day. This way, you will fatigue that muscle structure totally, depleting the energy reserves and ensuring that you have stressed and damage the muscle tissue fibers. You will rest that muscle mass for the following week until you train it again. This way, the muscle can recover, and hyperplasia can occur.

The weight that you lift is not important for conditioning. The focus should be on form and function and then squeezing the muscle tissue at the top of the exercise. This way, you really compress and physiologically stress the fibers to encourage new growth patterns.

The core muscles consist of:

Thank you for your enquiry. Alcohol, coffee and salt all effect weight-loss differently. Alcohol - has a calorie serving of 7 calories per gram (similar to fat at 9 calories per gram). Further to this, caffeine is an aggressive diuretic that results in dehydration, headaches, light sensitivity etc. This limits the function of the liver as it becomes toxic, along with altering the pH of your blood, making your system less efficient at shuttling oxygen.

Further to this, alcohol can seriously damage your endocrine (hormone system) response to exercise which will limit recovery. Salt - phosphates are important in regulated quantities. These electrolytes do affect water balance within the body, and they may induce water retention. Coffee - it's not so much the coffee as the caffeine. This is a diuretic that will induce water loss, but may enhance the visual appearance of cellulite etc.
